Tatiana Maslany became an actor of prominence, that everyone admired, with her role in Orphan Black. She played multiple characters in the show, which won her an Emmy and two Critics Choice Awards. Since then she has worked in a few more shows and movies until she handed the MCU gig. In 2022, Maslany came back to the small screen as Jennifer Walters/She Hulk with the Disney+ show, She Hulk: Attorney at Law.
Last year, Maslany raised many eyebrows and gained praise from many, for calling out Bob Iger, the Disney CEO, for his comments during the SAG-AFTRA strike. She said Iger was “out of touch” and had no idea what he was saying. But now it looks like she is trying to backtrack.
Tatiana Maslany’s Comments on Bob Iger
Back in 2023, during the SAG-AFTRA strike, Bob Iger, the CEO of Disney, said that the Union was not being “realistic” with their demands (via Variety).
“It’s very disturbing to me. We’ve talked about disruptive forces on this business and all the challenges we’re facing, the recovery from COVID which is ongoing, it’s not completely back. This is the worst time in the world to add to that disruption.”
When asked about his comments, Tatiana Maslany, who was in the picket lines at the time, said Iger waa completely “out of touch,” (via THR):
“I think he’s completely out of touch. He’s completely out of touch with the workers who make his shows happen, who make people watch these shows, who bring viewers to him and him money.”
Maslany gained a lot of praise for standing against Iger’s stance, when her show, She-Hulk, had already been streaming in Disney+ by then.
Is Tatiana Maslany Trying To Backtrack On Her Words?
Tatiana Maslany now looks to be regretting her words against Disney boss, Bob Iger. Maybe because her show, She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, has not had much positive response from either fans or critics. And Disney+ does not look to be having any plans of renewing the show.
Recently, she told in a conversation with The Independent:
“In those moments, you’re so heated up,” further adding, “It’s hard to articulate yourself in a way that you want when you’re on the picket line with everybody.”
Her comments don’t look to be sitting well with fans, who flocked to social media to share what they thought about her recent comments.

Chances of Tatiana Maslany’s show getting renewed for a second season is pretty low, given it’s reception. She-Hulk: Attorney at Law is available for streaming on Disney+.
